Sometimes a newer way of doing things isn’t necessarily a better way. Scott Bartel founded Architectural Restoration Technique here in Richmond so he could help people bring old buildings back to life in a way that honors the historical materials and techniques that created them in the first place.
This week I had a chance to learn a bit more about Scott’s work, and I created this short video from that time together:
Hi - I'm Chris Hardie. I live and work in Richmond, Indiana.
I've run a small business here, volunteered for a variety of local not-for-profits, campaigned for elected office, improved historic buildings and generally spent a lot of time and energy trying to make Richmond a better place.
I hope these thoughts generate discussion and action that improves the community further.
